Disclaimer

The Short Version

Everything on this site is for general information only. We try to be accurate, but we make no warranties about the completeness, reliability, or suitability of the information. Any reliance on it is at your own risk. Verify everything with the appropriate government agency before making decisions.

Not a Government Agency

SNAP Benefits Calculator is privately operated. We're not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the USDA, the Food and Nutrition Service, any state Department of Social Services, or any government entity. Period.

The official SNAP site is at fns.usda.gov/snap. To apply, you must go through your state's official application portal. We link to those portals for convenience, but we don't process applications, determine eligibility, or issue benefits.

Estimates, Not Guarantees

Our calculator produces estimates based on publicly available USDA guidelines and state rules. These are not guarantees. Your actual benefit depends on a full application review by a caseworker who may consider factors our calculator doesn't capture — recent policy changes, state-specific interpretations, special deductions, or unique household circumstances.

Use our calculator as a starting point, then apply through official channels. Even if the calculator says you might not qualify, apply anyway. Many households that seem over the income limit actually qualify after a caseworker applies all available deductions.

Not Legal or Financial Advice

This site doesn't provide legal, financial, tax, or professional advice. Every situation is different, and general information may not apply to yours. If you need legal help with benefits or eligibility, talk to a qualified attorney or your local legal aid organization.

For help with your specific SNAP application, contact your state SNAP office, call 2-1-1, or visit a local community organization that offers free application assistance.

Accuracy

Government programs change regularly. Federal and state agencies update income limits, deductions, and rules — sometimes mid-year, sometimes at the state level without wide notice. We update our site as quickly as we can, but there may be gaps. Our current numbers are based on USDA fiscal year 2026 guidelines.

External Links

We link to external sites for reference and convenience. We don't endorse those sites, and we're not responsible for their content, accuracy, or availability. A link doesn't imply agreement with everything on the other end.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SNAP Benefits Calculator and its operators are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages from your use of this site. This includes damages from relying on calculator estimates, inaccurate information, or actions taken based on site content. The site and its content are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.

By using this site, you accept this disclaimer. If you don't agree, don't use the site. We may update this disclaimer at any time — continued use after changes means acceptance.
